Default nissan gold preferred plan v original warranty

I just purchased my vehicle brand new 2011 from a Nissan dealer. The finance manager sold me an after-market extended warranty without mentioning that it was not a Nissan plan. When I realized what I had purchased, I asked that they sell me the Nissan Gold preferred plan for othe same price. She agreed to do this and to send me the paperwork via Fedex. It took a week to get the paperwork.
The same day I received the contract to sign, I got a flat tire. I called Nissan 800 number thinking I'd be covered for roadside assistance under my original warranty. I was told I would not be covered under original warranty but would be covered under Gold plan. She took my info and said I could get reimbursed for the roadside assistance ($62) after my plan is in effect.
I'm confused trying to figure out my coverage. The Nissan phone person said I'd be covered but looking at info online it seems the gold plan doesn't start until after the original warranty period?
Also she said I'd be covered for replacement of the ruined tire. this has to be done via the local Nissan dealer. I called two dealers service dept. One said yes; the other said this would be for Maintence Plus plan, not security plus plan.
I'm pretty disappointed in my dealership right now and don't even want to talk to them.
I'm ready to just go buy a tire and deal with reimbursement for my roadside assistance and possibly tire if covered later.
Can anyone help?
thank you

you're right
the "guy" is a female and I emailed her to ask her be sure to process my warranty document promptly and also told her about my flat tire experience. She didn't even answer me. I emailed my salesman to ask if my tires came with hazard protection and he said no. I think I prefer to wait until my warranty is in effect and sort it out. Right now I'm inclined to drive to an inconvenient location for future services just for spite.

Do u even know how much u paid extra for ur extended warranty?? You should look at ur contract to see if they pulled a fast one on you and charged like an extra $3000 for it. Also, you can always cancel your extended/gold warranty and get ur money back (prorated) at any time.

I paid $1525 for the after-market warranty. They agreed to cancel that one and use the money I paid to cover the Nissan warranty. I don't want to cancel the Nissan extended warranty. right now I'm concerned with getting it established and figuring out what it covers.
thanks for the reply

Go to nissanusa.com they have a pretty good outline of what's covered in each plan.

The dealer got me with that also:

Maintenance plus for up to 45k they got me for 995.00
Zurich Vehicle Service Contract they got me for 2,561.00
Zurich Tire and wheel plan they got me for 1,323.00
Zurich Gap insurance 700.00
Zurich Shield ??? can't seem to find the cost for this one.

You might have already read the thread but there is some good info here

I would rather have the warranty from Nissan and not Zurich but since they already put the Zurich Shield on I don't really know what to do either.

Wow. So, I'm guessing you paid almost $8,000 on top of just the car cost? Are you ok with that?

Not at all... Thank god for forums like this that give good info out. I was kind of ok with the Maintenance plus but the service contract is outrageous. I think I am going to call Nissan and see what my options are.

I know you can get all of your money back on the Nissan plans if you recently bought the car, but I'm not sure about this Zurich crap. Good luck!
