I opted to not purchase. Some services don't apply to the Z (tire rotations). Others aren't really free (oil changes are only free with conventional oil, your dealer will probably choose a synthetic of which you'll be charged a reduced price). Just my 2 cents.

My wife purchased a 2010 Maxima with Sport package along with the Nissan extended warranty here locally. They threw a free 3 year tire rotation and oil change service at any Nissan dealership. She paid a little extra on her extended warranty purchase in which covers her so called free oil changes & tire rotations. Since that time we were recommended by some members on this site to inquire about an extended warranty through a California nissan dealership. I recently purchased the CA extended warranty on my Z without a maintenance service contract option. We both think I came out ahead in the end. If we had it to do over we would have dropped her purchased extended warranty for a full refund. Then repurchase the extended warranty through the CA dealership. I also believe they provide the Maintenancwe Service warranty.

I only have one because of issues I had when I first bought the car, so they gave it to me for free. Luckily the dealer I go to is actually good, but I still would service it myself (except for major servicing) if I didn't get the maintenance plan for free.
Also, according to another person's post, they don't even cover Ester oil anymore for 2011 and newer models, so that makes it much less worthwhile.
