Okay since Nissan of Santa Rosa has been recommended here and I bought my security gold plus from them last year as well. Well I sold my Z 3 weeks ago so I've been looking to get my prorated refunds for my unsued portion of the service contract. Simple? Not really. Over the last 2 weeks, I've called them 6 times now trying to get a cancellation form. Each time I was promised they would email me right away but nothing so far. One time, the person actually said he already emailed the day before. Nothing in my mail box (spam, trash, etc). The person I've been dealing with is Ch.C. and the original person I bought from is J.F. I also called Mr. J.F. 2 times, left one voicemail and sent him an email regarding my concern but no response so far. This is very disappointing. I've been very calmed.
Sales process was great but after sales so far is bad. Thought I'd share so you guys would re-consider before purchasing anything from them. Last edited by hadokenuh; 09-17-2013 at 04:18 PM. |

You have 2 options: cancel it (and get prorated refund) or transferring it to the new buyer. This is the case for most manufacturer backed extended warranty. If you finance the warranty when you purchase the car, the refund will go to the lien holder unless you can provide proof that it's paid off. If you buy it after you guy the car, the refund will be to you.

This thread has been an interesting read. I'm new to the forum & to the 370Z.
Just picked up a 2010 CPO in Black Cherry metallic (M6 w/ Sport pkg.) She's got 27K on her so, she's still under the 3/36k factory warranty & the Nissan 7/100k CPO warranty. I'm also on the fence about buying the extended service contract (I've already been in contact with SR Nissan and got the quotes) I'm leaning toward buying it because... 1) I'm not much of a mechanic, especially with todays new tech. 2) I live in an apartment with no room to work on a car anyway. 3) I tend to hang onto my cars for years at a time...had my last car for 7 yrs, 10 yrs the one before that. 4) So much high tech, such expensive parts that could go bad/break. I've got a bit of time still...orig. warranty expires 2/14 or in 9K miles. I'm making myself crazy with my indecision. What to do, what to do... |

^^ If your Z already had the CPO warranty, why would you want the extended service contract? I understand the security gold+ is more extensive but then again, the CPO should cover most of expensive repairs.
Also, make sure you read about my experience above with SR Nissan before making your decision. |

Just received this in my EMAIL today. I already have the warranty from 3 years ago when I bought new but if you are on the fence about buying one you may want to buy before the price increase.
Pricing Updates Annual Price Increase April 1st of each year Nissan increases the plan costs to match repair rates. We just wanted to give everyone an opportunity to purchase the plans at current rates before the increase. These increases have historically been anywhere from 2% - 7% depending on the plan type and options. So it's a good time to lock in at todays' rates. Secondly, After April 1st we will no longer be offering 18 month 0% payment plans for contracts under 84 months. You can view all current pricing by signing in here. You'll need to login using your email and password that were supplied to you when you first received a quote from us. If you no longer have the password you can create a new one by clicking here. For help over the phone you may reach us at 877-508-1179. Nissan of Santa Rosa |

No new posts here in well over 3 years. I am considering buying an extended warranty for my 14 roadster before the OEM wty expires in early November. Does anyone have any current info on availability, pricing, best place to buy one, and which warranty level (if any) covers the softtop? I will try to call Santa Rosa Nissan this week; sure hope they weren't damaged by those tragic fires.

Better ask them specifically about what it covers on the soft top and get it in writing. Just remember that overall they make a lot of money on the extended warranty. Otherwise they would not be selling them. If you can afford to pay for repairs and never buy warranties, you will be ahead on average in the end.

Contact Us 370z gold preferred 96 month 100,000 mile coverage with $100 deductible for $2,215.00. 18 months no interest. I went to 2 local dealers and their quotes were: Dealer 1: $2,513 (Cash only, didn't offer 18 months no interest) Dealer 2: $2,447 (Cash or 18 months no interest with a 2 percent fee) I did need to pay 100 bucks for my dealer to inspect the car when submitting warranty paperwork. So the total cost was $2,315 that i paid related to the warranty. 2 months after buying the warranty i had to get my roof replaced - $19,800k. So it was definitely worth it. |

I have a 14 roadster. I live in Ohio but bought an extended warranty online from Santa Rosa of California, May of 2018. I had 1 week left before original warranty expired.
