Nissan of Santa Rosa really raised their rates:

They didn't show me anything under 36 months since my car is 34 months old right now. Here's the full quote: 370Z Gold Preferred 39 Month 39,000 Mile Coverage: $321.00 370Z Gold Preferred 36 Month 40,000 Mile Coverage: $327.00 370Z Gold Preferred 36 Month 45,000 Mile Coverage: $358.00 370Z Gold Preferred 39 Month 49,000 Mile Coverage: $391.00 370Z Gold Preferred 48 Month 48,000 Mile Coverage: $428.00 370Z Gold Preferred 36 Month 60,000 Mile Coverage: $430.00 370Z Gold Preferred 48 Month 60,000 Mile Coverage: $818.00 370Z Gold Preferred 60 Month 60,000 Mile Coverage: $818.00 370Z Gold Preferred 60 Month 75,000 Mile Coverage: $841.00 370Z Gold Preferred 72 Month 75,000 Mile Coverage: $1,033.00 370Z Gold Preferred 60 Month 100,000 Mile Coverage: $1,106.00 370Z Gold Preferred 84 Month 70,000 Mile Coverage: $1,170.00 370Z Gold Preferred 48 Month 120,000 Mile Coverage: $1,235.00 370Z Gold Preferred 72 Month 100,000 Mile Coverage: $1,388.00 370Z Gold Preferred 60 Month 120,000 Mile Coverage: $1,425.00 370Z Gold Preferred 84 Month 100,000 Mile Coverage: $1,565.00 370Z Gold Preferred 96 Month 100,000 Mile Coverage: $1,626.00 370Z Gold Preferred 84 Month 120,000 Mile Coverage: $1,720.00 370Z Gold Preferred 96 Month 120,000 Mile Coverage: $1,907.00 Maybe the difference is due that for me, the Security-plus plan will NOT be replacing the standard Nissan warranty, since, as I said, my car is 34 months old (today). If that's true, then CLEARLY the way to go is to wait for 3/36 to get the Security-plus. |

Going to the $0 deductible will always add to the price. For your example, 96mo/120k, their price is: 370Z Gold Preferred 96 Month 100,000 Mile Coverage: $2,064.00 which adds $438. The Nissan brochure says "The deductible is on a per visit basis" (NOT incident), so if it takes 4 service calls to fix a problem, you'd be out $400 right there I believe. I've had problems that took 4 service calls to fix, so I'm leaning toward the $0 ded. |

I'm new (2nd) owner of 2010 Anniversary 370Z and shopping for an extended service plan. Best quote I've received is Gold Preferred 96 month / 120,000 mile / $100 deductible (RCC9 plan code) for $1589 from Curry Nissan in MA. I'm in DFW, so just want to verify that this dealership is OK in case anyone has experience with them. I know it should not really matter where I buy; but I try to avoid doing business with folks that have screwed others.

This dealer is known for losing money on their warranties to meet Missan Milestones to get a kickback

I paid $2125 for 7/100,000 24hrs free road side, full coverage bumper to bumper. Here in Toronto its called "new vehicle" package. Usually goes for $2600.

I purchased the dealers last new 2012 base Sport model with a 6spd mt. I got it for 3500 off sticker with the Nissan 5yr/60,000mile drivetrain warranty, 3yr/36,000mile warranty on basically everything else, plus the Nissan dealership also threw in their "3rd party" extended warranty for the drivetrain to extend to 10yr/100,000miles for free. Then, for an additional 1500 bucks i paid to extend the full electrical system, including the entire fuel injection & the ecu, & most everything needed to make the car run and drive & it also goes to 10yr/100,000miles. I even first checked about mods before purchasing my 3rd party extended warranty , & i got in writing that the only reason they can deny any warranty claim is if it is a direct cause of a modification i made or installed. Since i only installed an aftermarket spoiler, Nismo R-Tune, long-tube, Cold Air Intakes, & the Ark Grip catback exhaust. Even the Nissan service manager couldn't think of anything that could break that would be the direct cause of anything on that engine due to just a catback exhaust & cold air intakes. However he wouldn't vouch for hi-flo cats, & forced induction is out of the question. Especially since u should really get an ecu tune/reflash after all that, which voids the entire warranty i think. So true, long-tube, Cold-Air Intakes, & cat-back exhaust seems to be about the most performance mods u can do. Nissan service manager recommended against custom suspension, unless its Nismo. If my 2012 370Z wasn't my daily driver id definitely do many more mods, but I need it to last, & its definitely a one-of-a-kind car when it comes in stock form, let alone after all the aftermarket mods.

I have a 40th (2nd owner) that is past the 36month mark, at 32000 Miles.
If I want to get extended warranty, is it still worth it to get the "Pre-Owned Vehicle Plan"? Or would that be a horrible idea, and I might as well try my luck and hope my car doesn't break down?
