Doesn't the 350 actually have two sending units because of a "hump" in the gas tank? I'm not sure about the 370.

I still maintain it's just a problem with how the data is being output, and the fuel sender's themselves don't have a problem. I guess I could hook up to the OBDII port to verify this, but I don't really care too much. I just enjoy watching you guys suffer.

The computer buffers the data it receives from the sender and averages over a period of time. You can sit there parked and watch the value creep up slightly with an OBDII monitor. The sender just outputs a voltage, and in some cases I guess that voltage doesn't quite swing the expected full range for one reason or another, whether mechanical or electrical. The CAN bus connection and the computer part seem fine.

Only the actual sensor uses voltage, once it hits the sender part it is on CAN bus so now it is just a value. The display is also connected directly to CAN bus and is just reading the percentage value given by the sender. I would guess that the display gives a full reading at anything above 95% full. If you want the next time I fill up I'll bring my OBDII reader and see what percentage it shows for me in a working car.

It would be interesting at least. I would agree that about 95% or higher should show up as "full", but maybe it needs to be at > 99% instead. It'd be stupid, but not too surprising.

A couple of weeks ago I drove my Z out of my garage with 1/3 tank of gas and went out to dinner with my wife and 10 miles later with no warning my car stalled out leaving me at the side of the road. The car was completely out of gas!, no f*cking warning at all! I drove it to my dealership the next day and they ordered a new fuel pump and sender. Your definitly not alone with this issue.

Just got the z today. At first they said next week thursday I was like wtf i drop the car monday but later in the afternoob got my car back. They said they replace the fuel sender both of them and the problem was the thing holding the fuel sender was long and it was getting stuck somewhere so they installed the new sender which is shorter. They said this is a known problem but not much ppl come in to get it fix so thats why there is no recall yet. But they said the recall should come in soon for the senders. Im just glad I got my car back before I leave for iraq. Didnt want to have my brother pick up my car at the dealer dont know where u would take it lol.
