Removing the shift knob

I just figured it'd be soo much easier working on that DIY for the cup holder/switch blank escort radar mute button modification. It was just sucha pain in the *ss because somehow as I was working on getting everything back in place the shift ring got stuck under the center console, which was really hard getting it out and back on top of the center console itself especially with the E-brake up. If you can imagine. It sucked.
