Default Maintenance Interval/Distance Reset

At the risk of embarrassment, I must ask this question, since I can't seem to find the answer even after a search. The maintenance reminders, like oil change and tire maintenance, display (on my non-nav 370Z) two numbers on the little orange screen, like:

??? --> 6800/7500 <--maintenance interval

What does the left one mean? This is not mentioned specifically in the Owner's or Service manual, although I did figure out how to access them. The one on the right is evidently the maintenance interval, since it can only be raised by a fixed number of miles.

The left one must be either the miles elapsed since the last reset, or the mileage to display the next warning.

Anyone know for sure?

I am pretty sure it is the mileage since the last reset. So you would be 700 miles out for your next oil change. If you want to confirm you can unplug your battery and then it will reset. You might also get more hits in the general discussion section. Good luck

Yes - thanks!

I figured out how to reset the left number - it went to zero, and now matches the trip odometer which I set to zero at the same time - therefore it IS the elapsed mileage.
