Default Nitrogen in tires?

Got my Coupe w/sport pkg. today. It has green caps on the tire stems. Does that mean tires are filled with Nitrogen or are they just pretty green caps. I gotta green "tool", but that's a whole different story.

Yes, they're filled with nitrogen.

Thanks for the info guys.

I guess I'll try and keep N in the tires then. As little as I drive this thing I think the tires will get pretty old. But then again, I'm starting to invent reasons to drive. Too damn much fun! (Like: "I gotta run down to the store honey, this bar of soap has a torn label and I need to return it".)

Just use regular air. Regular air is already 80% nitrogen naturally. Don't worry about it. It's not a space shuttle.

That's good right there

Nitrogen is a gimmick for the everyday people. F1, yeah, fractions of a psi make a difference, but as long as you stay on top of your pressures, you'll be fine.

Snow dog likes this.

Mine came with Nitrogen filled tires too, but once they go low I'm not going to keep refilling them with nitrogen, its inconvienant and most likely not even that effective anyway.

The dealer should do it for free for you. But in 9 months which include half Fall, Winter, Spring and half of Summer and I haven't had any issue with the Nitro in the tires.

With the regular air in tires of my 350Z I did have issues with the different change of seasons.

My JDM 300zxTT 2+2 (limo) had the same issues I was constantly monitoring the tire pressure. The 370 no problems yet going on 3 months......
