uhmm thats kinda a load.

Nitrogen in my tires never had issues. Not in the 90+ summer, or the current 20 or below cold. Not at the track, or the mountain runs.

As someone said, air is about 78% nitrogen so if nitrogen ***** up your TPMS then were all screwed.

I've been working on transport category aircraft for over 30 years...we use nitrogen in the tires on large aircraft. The same benefits a four foot tall airliner tire I couldn't see in the small tires on a Z. The small volume of air...or nitrogen...didn't seem to make a difference to me, and I refused to pay the upcharge the dealer demanded for the nitro fill and explained why. The grin on the salesman's face, like the cat that was about to pump the neighbor's canary, slowly disappeared when I explained it to him in detail and a showroom full of people stopped to listen. I have a feeling that they lost a good bit of "found money" that afternoon.
If nitrogen is saving folks topping their tires off, then that's a big deal. I'll keep a watch on mine to see how they fare. I'm happy I read the entire thread.

This should answer most of the questions about nitro in tires:

The Straight Dope: Is it better to fill your tires with nitrogen instead of air?

I only use 78% nitrogen, works for me.

Nitro in your tires stops condensation from messing up your TPMS sensors.

Just searched and found this thread. I'm a little low on two of my tires that have nitro in them. The closest place that offers it is like 40 minutes away. I will be topping off with good old fashioned free air tomorrow.

I dont buy that. If this were true, it would be mandatory to fill them with nitro to avoid that issue, not an option...

They lied...lol

Green does mean nitro. They might have just switched them so they didn't have to deal with it.
