Ok, so I just took over payments on a 2010 370z. Just hit 11k miles and I'm due for oil change and want to plan ahead for my 15k service.

I live in the SF bayarea and the local Nissan dealer in Fremont closed where I new of a few good people there. Now searching around I find that all the other Nissan dealers don't have the best reviews causing me to be wary of bringing my new ride in for anything. However Infiniti of Pleasanton is close by and they have amazing reviews as well as the 2010 Award of Excellence. I know they can't do warranty repairs there. But could anyone tell me if they share records with Nissan? Just in case in the future I went there instead. Also does anyone know approx how much more expensive it might be or if it's even worth it? I could do all the basic services myself if I had the time or space to do it in. But since I do not I would like to ensure I find a place that not only knows their stuff. But also treats their customers well. |

i used to have my altima serviced at infiniti just b/c my dealership had horrible service. it went well. the guy with the clip board who checks your car in came up to me the 2nd time i went in and was like 'CAN I HELP YOU' as if i had just brought some steaming pile of **** onto their holy parking lot. or as if i was so retarded that i thought it was a nissan dealership. i'm like 'uh.. i'm here for service.' he's like 'oh... ok'
But yea they do ester oil and all that **** at infiniti. They will usually wash your car for you too. (AKA SWIRL MARKS) so tell them not to. |

Thanks for the input. For me its more a matter of time and convenience on top of a stellar job. I'd rather pay a premium knowing my time won't be wasted because they think I don't have anything else better to do.
Another question I forgot about was if anyone knows if there is a cost difference between the ester oil or synthetic oil change? Do you have to request a certain one? |

Infiniti will be able to service your car, but will charge more than a nissan dealership more than likely. so prepare to pay a premium for the distance.
Also, Infiniti will NOT BE ABLE to warranty anything on the vehicle, only nissan dealers can warranty nissan vehicles, and Infiniti for Infiniti vehicles. Just a heads up |
