Tire pressure seems fine? Did you actually check your pressures?

TPMS light comes on when tire pressure is low. Refill tires to 35 PSI (cold). The light should turn itself off after a few minutes/miles of driving.

I just read in the manual last night: Refill to proper pressure, light should go out after exceeding 16mph. Be, careful! Watch for cops at that speed!

Related question about tires... do you rotate your tires as specified every 2500 miles? Especially if you have sport package with different sizes?

No its not. The wheels & tires are different sizes. You cannot rotate the tires on the Z with or without the sport option.

That's what I thought. The maintenance light came on after 2500 miles indicating tires, but the pressure was fine. I assumed it was for a rotation, but would that mean un-mounting them since the are directional? Just wondering out loud. I'm not going to do anything until they are obviously bald. 2500 mile tire maintenance just seems off.

You verified pressures were fine by actually checking them, right?

If so, then it could be a faulty TPMS sensor, in which case I'd run down to the dealership and let them sort it out.

Wait, is it the low pressure light or a message on the left lcd display? The one between the gas and coolant temp (dots)? If thats the case, its more of a reminder message and has nothing to do with the TPMS. Cycle thru the options and under maintenance select tires and you can adjust the milage. Its in the manual.
