I had the same problem, and have since learned to keep the cubby closed when accelerating in an, ahem, spirited manner.

Yeah mine either came with a big scratch or I did it within the first couple days. The scratch isn't viewable from the driver's seat. Sucks, especially since it's $70.

They need to make a carbon fiber one because all of the silver parts are very prone to scratching. I think the dash is mad way too cheap. Might have to wrap the dash in leather and suade to fix part of this problem.
