Starting issues. Car starts and then dies
Today, after returning from the store, I started my car and it immediately died. I tried again and got the same result. The third time, I pressed on the gas while starting and it stayed running. I did a quick google search and I read that some common reasons this may happen includes Mass Airflow Sensor, Fuel Pump Relay or Ignition Coil problems.
Anyone have this issue with the 2013 370z? I'm wondering if this is a common problem for this vehicle that others have dealt with. Thanks |
See if any DTCs have been thrown. If you don't have a reader, most auto parts stores will loan you one.

Did you resolve this? I had same issue last summer. replaced MAF sensors but that didn't do it. I needed to clean my throttle bodies. It was very easy there's a good video on YouTube that explains how to do it in detail and tells you how to calibrate it again afterwards. very easy DIY project.

yes clean the throttle bodies

Thank you for the response. I haven't resolved this but it also hasn't happened again. However, I will look into cleaning the throttle bodies.

Yeap Same issue here.
It started last august, dealership put in new battery in April, car was fine til August then one day just wouldn't start. Took to dealer, they tested everything and charged battery, and that was that. Car ran fine, started every single day up until yesterday after a short drive to a lunch meetup. Simply wanted to repark the car and it did turn over but it's like it's not getting fuel and gives up after so many seconds. Jump starting wouldn't work either, so ended up paying a ton for a tow to the dealership. Dummy Volt meter on the dash is back to it's usual games of all of a sudden being in the low 12's, which is the same bs it pulled on me last august when the issue presented itself before. Car has given me 7 years without issues up until this started.... 76,000 miles, stock plugs/packs/FP, just have intakes and FI cat back, and aftermarket pioneer stereo. Also tried putting the key fob in the thing, so it's not that... |

Well... ended up being the fuel pump.
I'm fairly surprised those go out at 76k miles, but it was making a loud buzzing sound for a while. Quote:

At any rate, I plan to take my car for an oil change on Monday and will ask them to do a code check. I will post here any update. I'm curious to see if it is the same issue. |
