Default Window "clicking" sound - won't stop

Hello, I currently have a problem with the window on the driver's side. Whenever I close the door on the driver's side, the window will do it's automatic adjustment to go all the way up but it will continue to click, as if the car doesn't detect that it's fully closed.

The window works when you toggle it up and down but for some reason, it's as if the car no longer senses that the window is fully up when I close the door and so it continues to run some sort of a check and thus, I get this continuous clicking sound that's loud and it sounds like it's coming from inside the door panel by the window button.

I can make it stop temporarily by toggling the window button myself but the problem will resume the moment I get out of the car and close the door.

Has anyone had a problem where the windows continue to click or they continuously try to adjust themselves when you close the door? I tried looking for this problem but only found people referring to the "continuous dropping" problem, which I don't believe is my case. Thank you for any suggestions.

Door switch loose in the door pillar? Tighten retaining screw.

thanks for the help and responses guys. i really appreciate it. sorry for the late reply too.

anyway, I looked into it a bit more with a local mechanic. turns out that the battery was just on its last legs and I needed a new one. My Z is from 2015 and I never replaced a battery yet, so I guess 5 years sounds about right for it to die. He told me a bad battery can cause some of the electric functions to act weird and so we're thinking the reason why the window motor or w/e it is was "clicking" was because the battery was giving it a very weak charge. The window is back to normal now in terms of function.
