Airbag light wont go away
Hi guys I got myself a 2016 370z 2 months ago and have been replacing the blown airbags since to get it safe. I replaced the curtain, steering wheel, seat and dash airbags and I got the SRS module cleared and the seat belts fixed and the airbag light wont go away. I went to my mechanic and read the codes with his Snapon code reader and it has 0 airbag codes. The light blinks slowly; stays on for 3 seconds and off for 2 seconds. I have tried to put it in diagnostic mode to fix it self but nothing. I had 15 codes before but I fixed every single one and at this point I'm lost. My airbag guy said he can diagnose it for me for $65 but I'd like to save the money if there is an easy solution.

If nobody comes up with a good answer, download the FSM (link in sig). Possibly a reset procedure in FSM - of the turn-on-ignition,-wink-left-eye-three-times,-press-brake-pedal-twice,-... type. Should at least tell you what the blinkenlight means.
If you plan on doing any work on your Z, download the FSM. It's a great resource for the DIYer. |
I've been trying to read and work with the fsm but tbh it's quite confusing. The thing I'm going to test is cleaning up my battery terminals and see if its a voltage issue.

If the airbags were deployed, you need to replace airbag control module that is located in the center console and have it programmed by nissan or capable scantool. Clearing faults will not fix it.

Ive had it reset by a company i took it out and brought it to them. The fsm says that im in diagnostic mode but it wont get out of that mode. Is there any other things I can try.
