2014 370z solid Yellow Key warning light on dash

Hi guys,

Around january 13th i've had the solid Yellow Key warning light on the dash, have taken it to my local nissan dealer about a month ago and they said it needed a new steering lock, my understanding is that my 2014 370z(facelift DRL's in the front bumper) and shouldn't have a steering look but it does ( please see attached picture), they wanted nearly £700 (i'm from the UK) to fit a new lock , also fitting new fob batteries just incase.

the weird thing is it drives and starts as if nothing as happened, did remove the 10amp fuse under the bonnet for a while but it's now back in and still starts like normal, the other thing is there are no lights on the "fobgina" even tho it detects the key, nissan guy said it's because the steering lock is faulty, not so sure myself, any ideas before i try and get Nissan UK involved as it's a known fault so i shouldn't be outta pocket.
