2014 370z fueling issue

I purchased a used 2014 370z about a month ago, since the first time I have put fuel into it I have had an issue. when I put the fuel nozzel into the tank to put fuel into the z and pull the handle to start fueling it will allow fuel to go for a few seconds and then cut off. I have tried over five different gas stations and turning the handle every direction to fix the problem but it has yet to fix the problem.

Today I went to the dealership where the maintenance department did a test to measure the pressure of the gas tank and they told me it was fine. the tech did tell me he owned a 2014 titan and had this issue sometimes with his titan and his fix was to "barely pull on the handle until the gas tank was a little full and then let it go full blast". I have tried that and it didn't work. I'm a little lost as to what to do next but taking 20 minutes to fill up my gas tank is a huge pain.

Anything I can do myself to try and fix this problem? or do I take it back to the dealership and let them take everything apart?

Thank you for you help!

Similar problem on my 13,
First click only never full blast, and you have to play with the nozzle a bit, don't bury it in the tank but pull it out a bit, and you'll find the sweet spot !

Don't get discouraged, play with it, & you'll be fine.

Had the same problem on my '07 350z. Never did get to the bottom of it. Both my 370's have been fine.

I've had that problem with several cars. As per old guy, you have to find a sweet spot. Sometimes it helps to start out with low flow and gradually increase.

Could also be a blocked vent tube. See FSM (link in my sig) for details.

Had the same issue on my G35, my 370z and the Nismo. Quite annoying

There was a documented problem like this on the 350z. Mine did it.
I flipped the nozzle upside down and it worked quite well. Looked stupid, but it worked.

thanks guys, tried a different gas station today and as long as its a slow trickle it doesn't stop. Ill keep playing around with it, thanks again for the help.

There is a recall on this specific issue. I got a letter from Nissan about this issue. It said that a hard to fill condition is a symptom that may indicated a clog in the evaporative emission vapor vent tube. Now it will extend the emission warranty to 15 years, or 150,000 miles.

What Jliu said, got my letter a few weeks ago. Had the same issue on my 07 G35, my 12 Z and now my 14. All were covered under warranty. Glad they now have a recall for it, so much easier.
