[HELP] Misfire Issue??
Issue Solved: Bad bank 2 MAF, cleaned it but the part itself was bank
This has happened to my Z before around 30K miles but it stopped on its own, this time it's not stopping, I'm at 45K miles now. When accelerating somewhat quickly the car becomes slightly jerky, like it's running out of fuel. Once it gets to a HIGH RPM, like 5,500+ is starts fluttering like its trying extremely hard to get to the red line, and a bunch of popping is coming from my exhaust while its doing this. It's supposed to just rev right on up to redline like normal, but it just sputters its way up there. **ALSO: A secondary issue I am having is I have ran out of gas twice now due to a false reading of "Range till Empty" It shows 30-60M even though its actually empty. Now I just filled it up this morning and instead of going to 300+ miles to empty like normal is didn't go past 230 miles to empty. Fuel sending unit issue possibly? Any pending codes? Are you stock?

As per Chuck33079, get an OBD scanner and see if there are any DTCs present.
The popping out the exhaust sounds like a spark problem but I would think that it would turn on an idiot light. Could also be a fuel delivery problem due to a weak/intermittent pump. Check the wiring going to the fuel pump/level sensors (see FSM for wiring details).

I was out earlier and coming off a red light I put the peddle to the floor to see if it went away and as soon as it hit 4500-5000 is just felt like a sudden loss of power, it could hardly build up rpms for all the sputtering, the sounds from the exhaust was like it was being starved of fuel. |

Get a scanner and see if there are any pending codes in the ecu. Just because the light isn't on doesn't mean there's not a code stored in the ecu.

So I cranked it up to go to town earlier and it started to act like it was about to run out of gas, I revved it and it was very sputtery and cleared up slowly but still can't get up to high rpm or speed without it sputtering. |

Yeah, it does that with the misfire codes. Maybe switch the coil packs around and see if the p0306 moves. That way you know if it's the coil pack or the plug.

It's a pretty straightforward diy. Might go ahead and change plugs and clean the mafs at the same time.

Mine did the same thing. Switched coil pack to confirm and it moved to 4. About $120 at AutoZone for a new one and all clear. Funny that number 6 seems to go out on a lot of cars.

By the way, mine is a 2015 and it did at less than 20K. On the fuel issue, pull the pump and see if the rods broke. Mine and others have done that too.

Thanks for the advice bro! I'm actually going to take it to a Nissan dealership Monday and see what they can do. I am still under a 5yr warranty as far as I know because its a 2012 model.
