Front Under Cover Protector
So I was driving the other day and the "front under cover protector" came loose and scraped along the road for a bit before I pulled over. I looked online and it's a $260 flat piece of plastic, which is crazy. I can't for the life of me figure out what it's really for. It just covers a recessed portion of the under cover. There are no openings beneath it that would let water in the engine bay...so...why would they bother putting it there in the first place? My only guess is a slight aerodynamic gain.
I'm thinking of just leaving it out. Thoughts? Last edited by Brad370; 02-18-2020 at 09:40 AM. |

I may have answered my own question. It looks like the non-Nismo has the same recessed portion on the under cover, but no protector over it. It looks like it even has the holes drilled in it for the protector. So I'll just leave it off.
