Pointless steering lock
 

Ok so I'm almost positive mine went out, I tried all the steps on the diy post you guys put up and nothing is working. So my question is where can I find one and is there a how to on changing it out?

Not the dealership either, 1100 from them no thank you.

Hey man give it one last shot. Try fist hammer on the right steering column side (right knee area), while violently shaking the steering wheel. It took me 3 hours, to unlock it. Good luck

Remove the steering lock, and jam the lock in the down position with a small piece of plastic or wood. Re-install, and your good to go.

Ok I really don't know how to take it off, didn't really see how by just looking at it. Does anyone have a play by play on how to remove it. That way if what smoked said doesn't work I can just replace it myself

Ok so I ended up removing the steering lock and in welding that butthole down. At the moment I'm at the gym but when I get home I'll let you guys know how that works out.

Ok so update on the steering lock, I used jb weld to hold down the locking pin. The result, SUCCESS!!! I went to put the car in acc mode and as soon as I did I pulled that damn fuse. So far so good, thank you all for your advice. @grobie thank you for that last minute suggesstion my friend, that did the trick for sure.
