no i can not take it back to the dealer so please do not recommend

ive had Zs with airbags deployed, never affected it. Could a deployed airbag have ANYTHING to do with it?

thanks

Better yet why cant you take it to the dealer? it's definitely still under warranty

We need more info like is everything completely dead or do lights and accessories work but wont start or does it try to start and fails?

Car will start up fine. Push button works, I think maybe the KEY light is illuminated on the dash.

Not even the emergency engine shutoff procedure works.

Key works fine, locks and unlocks doors

keep in mind i said the car wont turn off

Mods on the car?

And may I ask why you can't go back to the dealer?

I see.

Thats a first! But sounds like maybe the start button maybe defective.

I still see no reason why you can't take it for a diagnoses, But under this condition just get it fixed and start :driving:

Sorry man, but you refused the only recommendation that's suitable. Good luck with finding the fix.

For whatever reason...but you don't have to take it to the dealer you bought the car from. Take it to another dealership in the area. They should fix the issue under warranty.

Im still stumbling over the oddity of why you cant go to a dealer, literally, any nissan dealer

4TthAnnyZ 07-01-2015 05:12 PM

Did you steal said car?

Have you considered driving around till it runs out of gas? Actually you can just drive until you've got 1/2 tank or less, then take a right hand with a high G load at WOT. That should take care of the problem :ugh2:

Chuck33079 07-01-2015 05:59 PM

Stall it out?

SouthArk370Z 07-02-2015 08:47 AM

If you can't/won't go to a dealer, download the FSM and diagnose it yourself. Since it will start, I doubt that the button is the problem (it's just a single-pole switch). I suspect a wiring problem (possibly something knocked loose when airbag deployed or worked on) or a bad ECM.

Just open up a huge vaccum leak on your stolen car. Good luck
