My Baby is on a Flatbed Headed to the Dealership (Clutch)
Took the wife out to dinner, came back out, pushed in the clutch, pedal stayed stuck on the floor. No amount of pedal pumping was making any kind of difference. Could not put the car in any gear. Car was stuck. Appears to be a complete failure of the CSC (just my guess).
Tow truck came and hauled it off to the stealership. We'll see what they say tomorrow (hopefully). At least it was a nice flatbed and the guys loaded it without scraping anything. Insurance fully covered the tow. Hopefully the warranty will cover the repairs. (22,000 miles and it's a 2012 so I'm still under warranty by a few months) The good news is that it's safely in the dealership parking lot awaiting the mother of all hail storms tonight. How awesome. Gotta laugh or I'll cry. :-)

Good news is that we did not get any hail in our area. Now to see what Nissan says.

Yes. Replace it with ZSpeed HD CSC or Z1 CSCEK before the OEM one fails.

Got a call from the service guy, Nissan says to give the system a full flushing, and let it sit overnight. They will drive it in the morning to see if that resolves the issue. If not, then they investigate further. All covered by warranty, at least.

Fresh fluid is a bandaid at best. You will be inconvenienced by another tow in the near future, I can almost guarantee.

I agree it's not a real solution but I'm done fighting with dealerships. It is what it is. I got more important things to worry about.
At least the service guy is allowing some time to pass to see if there is still an issue before giving me back the car. I told him keep it as long as he needs to, I just want it fixed right. We'll see what happens.

Like Jar and Kenchan have mentioned, refilling the new fluid may bring your clutch pressure back and it will seem fine for some time, could be weeks or a few months, but you can expect the same thing happening again. A permanent fix would be to replace both the csc and master cylinder, costs about $1000 in parts and labor.

It's after 1 and no word yet from the dealership. I'm guessing el flush-a-rooney didn't work.
Even if they replace the slave cylinder, that's not really going to solve the problem, is it?

Not if they put another OEM one in. But if they put one in, you should get at least a year or two of driving on the new one - unless you're doing a bunch of hard launches they usually last at least 15-20K miles (I got over 50K on mine before I replaced it prior to failing). Your best hope is for it to last until you need to replace your clutch. Then you can take that opportunity to upgrade the CSC to one of the aftermarket solutions.
