What products for top?

What products are people using to protect their convertible tops?

Any thoughts if the products help with preventing the nasty holes we seem to be tormented with?

I use 303, but even then, with my car garaged, not a daily drive, not exposed to a lot of sun, I can't say its great. SO, I too have a thought?.??? While in the garage, should we lift the top a bit, to reduce the stretch on the fabric??

I use RAGGTOP. It works for me.

I bought 303 from recommendations on here...seems like a good repellent...but i'm still seeing small white rub marks in areas.

I'm guessing Raggtop would not make a difference on that though...

Isn't Raggtop really just for waterproofing? Ok, maybe UV protection too, but not for rubbing and holes. For holes and rubbing I'd be looking for something like the ties used to hold the operating mechanism in place, or some other thing sticking up at the problem spot.

FWIW, I use 303 (fabric - they also have one for plastic), applied with a cheap paint brush. No overspray. It doesn't go as far, but it waterproofs like crazy - beads like fresh wax. Once every six months or so works for me.

I imagine Raggtop is good too. The shop where I got the wife's pickup bed Line-Xed had 303, so that's what I got.

Raggtop for my roadster.... however, my car is always garaged, barely see any rain. Most water are from washing the car.

Rain isn't really that big of a problem. Just drive faster. ;)

I started using RaggTopp summer of 2012 after having the top replaced under the TSB. I didn't want to have to mask the car off as I think you have to do with 303. Just spray it on, quickly wipe off overspray with a microfiber towel from body and glass. Top still looks brand-new, beads like crazy. Touch-up every 6 months doesn't take nearly as much product as the initial coating. It does have UV protection. The kit also comes with a cleaner that takes off bird poop and other gunk without discoloring.

I suspect if you look you can get either a kit with the protectant and cleaner, or individual bottles of either. That's the way they do 303. First time around I bought the kit with both. After that I just got the bottle I need - two or three protectant to one cleaner.

I loved 303 on the vinyl top of the s2000, but prefer Raggtopp on the cloth top of my 370z
