I would have waited for a hardtop convertible. I couldn't fathom Chicago winters with a soft-top. That being said, I still long for a convertible at times during these beautiful, cool 75F Chicago summer days...

The infinity hard top version added over 400 lbs. to the car.

I also wanted to see the 370Z in a hard top convertible but then realized that with the added weight gain and the uptick in cost for a hard top convertible, it would have placed the Z in a price category that Nissan didn't want to be in.

The hard tops are mechanical failure waiting to happen. The last I heard BMW does not include the hardtop in it's extended warranty on the 335i.

Oh I don't know about that as there are still a lot of mid 50's Fords around and the tops still work on them. Now that's not saying they havn't been a pain in the a$$ for the last 50+ years.

Love the looks of the roadster.. I'm glad that nissan didn't put a metal retracting roof, all the reviews of the G37 complain about the lack of trunk room.. the top mechanism would have virtually eliminated the trunk, not good in a 2 seat roadster... I'm glad that a golf bag can still fit in the trunk... I'll take one in Black Cherry!!!
