Ok - I just wish there was more to read in the roadster section.
I visit a few times every day - and always have to go to the General Discussion or Interior/Exterior or Wheel/Brakes sections. Oh well - guess that's what i get for buying a low volume specialty car. That I'm more than a little obsessed with. :) |

This whole site is dead. I help moderate the S2000 board and it seems like we have more posts in the "under the hood" section in one day than this whole board gets in one day.

Yea - I was on G35Driver and myg37 and they were both super busy. My EX and FX sites are slow, too.
I thought this would have been busier...but then again not that much to customize and a relatively small consumer base.... |
with less than 40,000 370Zs on the road, there isn't a huge user base.

True - and driving a roadster diminishes the numbers even more. And cuts the mods by a a huge amount too.

I ride a Yamaha Royal Star Venture. In the motorcycle world they're as rare as a 370Z Roadster in the car world.
I'm a member of a forum aimed at the Venture. Compared to some forums there's not a lot of activity. On the other hand there's as much activity as the forum-active base can support. When people ask a question they almost always get a solid answer. As a result of the relatively small user base a lot of us know each other. One of the things we do to help build camaraderie and a general sense of family is to have regional Meet and Eats, and two types of rallys: smaller local meets and an annual "International". All involve rides of various lengths as well as the opportunity for members to get to know each other.I've hosted local Meet and Eats that drew members from not just Indiana, but Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan. I've gone to a couple in Michigan that drew quite a few of the Canadian members. All of these are organized by proactive members who just decide to do it. (The big rally is a bit more complicated, but still organized by local volunteers.) I've looked in several of the regional areas of the forum and found very little. I'm wondering if this has been tried and generally failed due to the low number of Z owners overall. (Realizing, of course, that a guy in California isn't very likely to be able to drop in on a M&E in Indiana, and vice versa. :)) Of course, I realize this isn't all that Roadster specific, just musing about a possible way to pick up the feel of activity on the forum. |
Paddle shifters allllll day! plus when i get in traffic its all good. never miss a shift, and AT can be faster than manuals.

Alright lets get some Roadster input.... I am an Admin over on a Mustang site... and the range of aftermarket parts and price points are MUCH better than available for our 370s.
I like the idea of a front lip for the front but the $700-$1,000 ones that I see pushed on here (with Japanese install instructions lol) are not for me. I will do some better measurements soon - but the chin spoiler off an 03/04 Mach 1 Mustang may fit the 370... they can be had for a smashing $69 and are a slick and easy install. They are somewhat pliable so if you touch a curb with it it won't crack (unlike the $1,000 versions). I photoshopped one onto my Roadster to get a rough idea... Any of y'all here in Texas? San Antonio specifically we have Z Sport, in the Valley they have N.I.C.E. and another club in Austin. I love the ideal of a massive roadster shoot....that be legit

I wouldn't be able to have that spoiler on the front of my car because it's too low. I already have a pretty good scrape on the underside of my front bumper.
Though I do have a little space for a diffuser of some type in the rear. |

I'm about an 1-1/2" to 1-3/4" lower...I think. I forgot to measure before I did the swap.
I just measured an it's 26" to the top of the fender (directly above center) in the rear and 26-1/16" in the front. Not sure what stock measures out at. |
