Mine fell off before the car was a yr. old. All I did was replace it with the loop side off Velcro. I stuck it to both ends of the 2nd bow, which had sharp edges. This pads the 2nd bow & keeps it from wearing through the canvas. Has done the trick for about a yr. & a half.

So is there Velcro that this sticks too or did you glue it back ?

The original piece looks like it was held on with some kind of glue. All I did was stick a piece of the loop side of Velcro onto the bow itself not the top.

I just had this happen to my car about a month ago!! I only drive it once a month. It's still under warranty. Do you think I should have them replace the top? Would they do that or just reapply the patch?

Hard to tell where to stick it, I'll wait till morning the old one I think is in original position, hopefully.

Mine fell out and I didn't know and was rubbing a hole on the inside of the top fabric looked like cigarette burns. After they replaced it it was never right again and did it again. Never get a roadster again

I wouldn't try to replace it because like FLUJOKE said it will just fall off again. When the top gets hot sitting out in the sun it just heats up that glue each time & finally falls off. The reason I did it the way I did is I couldn't find exactly where it came off from to replace it. All you really need is something to pad both ends of the second bow. The ends of that bow are real sharp.

Roof parts came off
These came off from my roof also. They have a piece of plastic and velcro attached. Does this piece attach to the roof at this location ?
(See pic) If others have reattached them, how did you do it ? |
