Default Spare not practical for me

I also was investigating adding a spare when I purchased my 2010 roadster new in Jan 2010 but soon discarded the idea. You can buy the parts from the dealer (about $500 from what I remember) but after thinking about it, mounting a spare and placing the flat in the passenger seat (on long trips I usually have a passenger with me) made it unworkable. Around town I have no use for a spare as I can just call AAA. Your situation may be different however.

Unless Nissan changed it, the Z roadster was never sold with run flats from the factory.

Good luck.

John you should have a kit in the trunk. Airpump, fix-a-flat, asst. tools. If the kit is there you have what you need. I also know nothing of run flats on verts. Mine has 19" sports and they are not run flats.

Default Thanks, now need opinions on handling

Thanks Guys,
You're right on about the repair kit and reasoning. Now I need to find out if new rear tires and about 60-70% tread on my front tires is causing this thing to be squirlly going down straight roads with grooves. Allignment is perfect, air pressure good too. My 350z is more stable. Thinking new front tires to match the back? Gonna go to run flats as I need em.
