Winter washing a roadster
So, unfortunately I will be driving my Z during the winter here in Ohio. It won't be driven when there is snow on the ground, since I will hitch a ride with the wife in her Jeep. What is the best way to wash it. I don't want to take it to the car washes with the high pressure water. I can hand wash it on "warmer" days (above freezing), but I would really love to find a way to wash the undercarriage. Any ideas???

When I lived up north I would park over the top of a lawn sprinkler to get the salt out.

Aside from not wanting to use high-pressure car washes, page 3-32 of the owners manual specifically says not to:
"Do not use an automatic car wash or a high-pressure car wash to clean your vehicle. The top may be damaged and water may leak into the inside of the vehicle." |
I washed the Z last Saturday. I hand washed it on the driveway. Unfortunately, the temp was 27 degrees. I turned the driveway into a skating rink and my hand was frozen, but the Z was spotless once again.

Buy a pressure washer but don't use it on the top.
