I don't have a convertible but I came from the S2000 world. And I think you could probably make a strong case for this depending on how it looks and functions. Get some renderings together to gauge true interest.

If you make it, and it has the same amount or slightly more headroom than the softtop, I will buy it.
Slightly more clearance would be great for helmets =) Any preliminary pictures on what it would look like? Last edited by sarmyth; 04-30-2011 at 10:07 PM. |

This hardtop will be much like the ones I have experienced with the s2000. I will be doing design drawings this week hopefully.

I loved the s2k Hard Top! and considering the s2k didn't have a coupe option. it made sense.. but I think this would be awesome!

I had a 2006 S2000 and paid $2500 for the matching factory hardtop. The thing was finished inside with a defroster for the glass window. It was alum. I went as far as to make a PVC pipe hardtop holder that had leveling feet.
To get to the point, I kept the hardtop on all the time. It finished the cars look and turned heads every where. Also kept the heat out when the car sat in the summer sun and reduced outside noise levels. Best money I have ever spent on an accessory. |

i would love a hard top with a sun roof or even a panoramic roof for the times that is starting to get cold out and theres no snow, as many of you know if theres alitle snow on the ground the car dosnt drive so i do have a truck for the winter or shity weather,, would the hard top be like the jeep that u can leave the soft top in the folding position and put the modular top over it ?, if u eventually need people to test out the top il be willing and would love to help.

Not sure I would buy it. I had a Miata and had a hardtop for it. It spent most of the time strapped to the garage ceiling. Then again, we don't get much in the way of winter down here. Will probably be big up north. Personally, I like the look of the roadster with the soft top but that's just me. Good luck!

No pun intented. But I don't have much faith in UAM in producing anything any more. Seems like they start a bunch of teaser threads that never come about.
