Jazz,

Interesting problem, the top on mine opens great but when I try to close it the following happens.

Storage area opens, soft top starts to expand, then the storage cover closes and the top stops, closes no further, but there is a noice. So what I tried is tapping on the rear part of the top and then it closes. It appears to get stuck or something.

I took it to dealer and they played with it for a few hours, put it on a machine and got a hydrolic over heat error. They called Nissan tech support and they told them that the hydrolic motor needs to be replaced. It was ordered 4 weeks ago and still waiting for it to arrive.

Jazz you need to drive that car of yours,

Even with the top problem I love mine. 3500KM
