Yeah, as said, the S2k, Z4 and the Vette are the only good top up or down roadsters.

I'm even a bit iffy on the Z4. I thought the Z3 looked less "boy racer" and a bit more put together.

I don't like it either. But it'll probably appeal to its target demographic, which isn't us. What I mean by this is, most of the folks on this forum are performance-minded. We bought the 370Z for its performance attributes. Yeah, the way our cars look matter to us as well, but performance is the primary motivator for us. Well, people who buy cars for performance usually stay away from convertibles anyway, because they usually compromise structural rigidity, and can be heavier than their coupe counterparts (esp. hardtop convertibles). Also, most of us probably don't care so much about how we personally look while driving it -- we're driving, not posing. People who buy convertibles, on the other hand, are more interested in looking good as they cruise/pose down the boulevard on a sunny day. I'm not trying to insult anyone, btw. I'm just pointing out that there are different target demographics out there in the car market. I mean, how else can one explain all the Eclipse convertibles and Sebring convertibles that are out there on the roads? So anyway, I think the 370Z Roadster will appeal to the 'I wanna look good with the top down' demographic. And yes, I know I'm making some broad generalizations. I realize that there are exceptions. I used to own an S2000, btw. But it was designed from inception to be a convertible; it's not a compromised version of a coupe. I also kept the top up most of the time, which drove my wife nuts (because she wanted to look good while in the car and I couldn't care less about that).

At least it looks better than the 350 vert. That thing looked like a mutilated Beetle. I think the early renderings floating around looked better, but oh well, not like i ever really considered the vert version.

Don't know if anyone has noticed, but the styling of the seats are completly different than the coupe. I know the seats also have the heating / cooling , but look at the headrest compared to the coupe.
The Roadster's seats look really really aggressive. I like

Default Hi-res 370Z Roadster

I like both the Roadster and the Coupe, and can appreciate why one would choose the Coupe, and another the Roadster. Among all of the auto manufacturers, Nissan did one of the best jobs of designing both the Roadster and the Coupe. Obviously since I own a 370Z I think it is the best one of all, or I would have bought a different car. These are both serious automobiles, and they both do what they were designed to do very well. But, these cars have different audiences. The Coupe looks like it's going 100 mph just standing still, and has an attitude as if it's saying; "What are you looking at, I'll kick your a**! When the Roadster arrives, you're not surprised when you see it's driver removing his driving gloves as he escorts his beautiful woman into the party at the Yacht club. The Roadster's attitude is; if someone needs their a** kicked, he has "people" who do that sort of thing for him. But, since it is a 370Z, if push comes to shove, he can do the a** kicking himself, if he absolutely has to.

Back from the grave the 9 month old roadster bash thread

Seriously, anyone who likes the coupe must at least like 3/4th of the roadster
