Default 2011 models still have paint bubbles

Just bought a 2011 Red 370Z Touring with Sport Package.
Traded in my 2009 Red 370Z with Sport Package. Got a great deal on both, BTW. One of the reasons I traded was to hopefully get rid of the paint bubble issue the 2009 had. I spent hours checking the car prior to buying. The temperature just hit 95 degrees today and the bubbles are on the 2011 model as well. Sounds from all the posts like the bubbles are an issue on all the colors so it would not have done me any good to go with a different color. It's unfortunate but it appears it's an issue I'll have to live with in order to enjoy the car I love. I will be taking it to the local dealer this summer to see what can be done. FYI, be careful when hand waxing. That put so many scratches on my 2009 I had to have a body shop wax it with an orbital buffer. It looked great but the buffer took flecks of paint off the bumpers in locations where it previously had swirls but wasn't missing any paint.

Default Clear coat bubbles

I just started noticing this on my 2011 gun metallic...I don't think it's right that we just have to live with it as if it was a normal thing...I'm planning to call Nissan and will fight this as longs as I have to!

Default Paint Problems

I have a 2010 370z, Black Cherry and I have the same problems. Round circles in hood and hatch back. The paints is chiping off in the spots. You can see cracks in the circles.

Hey guys.

I just purchased a new holdover '10 T-Roadster about 3 weeks ago. The vehicle is of late '09 production at factory. While detailing it today, I noticed small, very faint brown like dots all over the hood. The dots are brown, almost rust color like. As I inspected it closer I found these markings all over the fenders, q-panels, deck lid, mirror casings, etc. At first I thought it was over spray but I haven't been around anything that was being painted. I began to think it might have been tree sap from somewhere but the vehicle stays covered all day long on ONLY driven on the weekends (not a daily driver).

Since I thought it was over spray, I opened the deck lid and checked that area around the seams and found it even under the deck lid. The only time when that area is exposed is when the trunk is opened at the hinge areas. I tried cleaning a small area and it did improve, however, the dot did become more faint, but it's still visible and appears to have bleed into the paint or clear coat application.

After opening and reading this thread and seeing everyone's comments about their vehicles, I'm beginning to believe that mine may have suffered the same fate. Although, I found no traces of bubbling, I did find these "dots".

I've tried taking photos but you can't see them clearly even with a DSLR with a good lens.

Thoughts?

So yesterday I washed my Z (little over 30 days since bought new) and found a patch of peeling clearcoat on the front bumper. Hard to see in the picture, but it's very obvious when you're looking at it. Going by the dealer today to see how hard it will be to get them to honor their warranty.

Local dealer (not who I bought it from) says the bumper has been "touched up" and if I didn't have it done the dealer I bought from did. Funny, they never mentioned that to me. Also, I noticed 3 round spots on the roof when I went out to take the car over. Two are dime sized but one is about the size of a quarter. The guy at the local dealer said he WOULD repair those since they apear to be under the clearcoat. He also agreed the place on the front was NOT a chip. I sent my salesman an email and he says to drop by tomorrow morning (it's over 50 miles away) to have his paint guy look at it.
I'll post some really good close ups when I get home and get my real camera. Cell phone just can't get the details.

Brown dots could be rail transport issues (does Nissan use trains?) or something happened on the lot (mud daubbers? tree sap? some other spray)...

Can you try clay?

I would probably make the dealer fix it, but its a pain when its your daily driver.

You are correct. Something with the rail transport and with the vehicle being a holdover for over a year, it just baked in the sun while on the dealers lot for almost an entire year (which didn't seem to help the matter).

The dealer did keep my car overnight and their body shop was able to apply the clay bar to the paint surface and it really cleaned up the entire car. The paint really stood out and showed hardly any imperfections.

This was only too good to be true though....as of this past Saturday while I am cleaning the car, I began to notice raised clear bubbles/bumps that were very small, in certain areas of the hood (also located on the door today and the rear trunk). Some were separated and some were clustered. I'm beginning to wonder if this may be related to the clear coat issues I have read about previously.

I just dropped off my Z at the dealer for them to look at the paint. I'm not sure what they'll say, but I told them that I already took it to a couple of body shops and they both said the clear coat is messed up.

I will update later today.

you are absolutely right! the dealership just called and they said they will need to have their specialist see it, who won't be in until the beginning of September. I will update then.
