Alright, well it's done. I should know more this week but I expect it will go quick since the infinity module is already done and their probably the same.

No Problem guys...
Anybody want to buy the first automatic top roadster? You brought this on, I kinda want a Benz now I can't say I don't like driving the one I'm borrowing now.

I just got an email from them, he's like 90% there but has to figure out the window code since it's different. But the roof part is done and working.
As for the Mercedes, this car got more attention in the first hour I was driving it then the nissan has since I bought it. (From the ladies of course, who cares what guys have to say) They don't seem to care that it's 8 years old and worth ~half what the Z is, it's says Mercedes on it right The real reason I have been thinking about trading it in though is we all know the sacrifices we make to drive a sports car. Which is fine, I have always liked sports cars but these days I find it becoming increasingly annoying to be driving a sports car that I can't drive like a sports car you know. I won't race these *** clowns on the street that think their _____ are the ****. And they won't let me take it on the damn track, so I basically I'm wedged in a tiny car that rides like a wagon with no storage space to speak of and getting nothing for it. As much as I like the car I wouldn't mind having a back seat again and better yet a truck. It wasn't much fun jamming my snowboard in the passenger seat all winter, or my suite case which apparently is just to big to fit in the truck.

All valid points. We have an XTerra Off Road to cover the mountains and beach scene. My wife and I have come to the conclusion that we will always have a open air sports car and a capable 4x4. It would be very difficult to have the roadster, or the TT for that matter, as an only car. My interests are too varied. It would be kinda difficult pulling the SeaDoos with the vert too.
Wife drove the roadster to work today. I called her this morning and got "I freaking love that car! Ya know... it just doesn't matter what kind of day your having. When you get in that car with the top down, it just doesn't matter."

Thanks crash for doing this, I know I will be getting the module once it's done and tested. As far as your vision on the Mercedes, I have to say I do not agree at all but then again I live in California and conditions might be different.
I am able to drive my car in canyons and many places where I have lots of fun with it. My step mom has a CLK convertible and I would never want that car for myself. I've driven it enough to say it's a beautiful car but it does not compare in the canyons which I take on a weekly basis. My whole fun would be ruined. Now if you live in a flat land, I guess I can understand.

Hey Crash... when you do finally pick your Z up from them see if they can give you an estimate on how long until they think the product will be available for consumer purchase on their site. I was reading back through this thread and noticed that the guy who was reporting on this when they were working on the Infiniti G said the following:
"It will be available in about 8-12 weeks because of the manufacturing time of the wiring harness." I'm hoping it won't take that long for the Z but if you have the chance to ask them on that, let us know. Thanks! |

I didn't ask specifically, but my guess would be the wiring is the same so there shouldn't be any delays there. I'll find out there, the codes are different though so he's still working on my car. I'll let you know next week what they say, or if they need to get in more test equipment to finish. Hopefully it will be done soon though.
As for another car, I agree there's very little that would compare to a 370Z. Which is why I bought it in the first place, but I lately I'm just not enjoying driving it like I should be so I am looking at other options. But the highway is not really the ideal terrain for a Z and I don't have mountainous roads to drive it on, and they won't let me take it on the track... so that leaves me with allot of untapped potential and irritation. It is a nice car though and I don't need to sell it so I am just looking right now to see if I find anything I like better, but if anybody's looking for one I'm sure we could work something out.
