Are your Roadster doors a little hard to open?

mine are compared to the coupe...on the coupe, it opens very smoothly because the glass has a chance to unseal properly...on my Roadster on both sides but more so on the passenger side, the glass hits the tonneau cover first before lowering a bit then you are able to open it...it's not a HUGE deal but i am afraid i'll forget to remind one of my passengers one day and they'll go to open the door and the window will hit the tonneau cover too hard

i did take it in already and they said it was normal so i'm asking other roadster owners if this is also happening to them...again, it's pretty much like you have to pull the handle, wait a half second for the window to pull down a half inch, then open the door, it's not one smooth motion of opening the doors like they are on the coupe

lol what are you doing driving with the top up? First thing I do is press the button to open the roof. So yes, it takes me longer to open the door ... about 20 seconds longer :)

Seriously though ... I never wait. I just open the door. I hear the window coming down, but I don't have to wait for it.

No problem like that on mine

Finally starting to get some decent weather here in central Tx. Been a miserable winter here ... nothing like Chicago, but to me 38f is bone chilling :)

38f is cold to me too! No matter how long I've lived here (all of my 32 years) one can never get used to this cold weather and this winter was quite brutal. I have literally not driven this car with the top down yet since I bought it in the beginning of February! I don't even know how it feels yet but I've been assured it's like a completely different car. I can't wait...

In the meantime I've just modding things here and there. I got all my lights to LED and got my Nismo Rays to replace the Sport Rays. I should be getting the backup cam installed soon followed probably with blacking out the headlights and then a speaker and amp upgrade to the BOSE stock.

How much were those Nismo Rays ... Those things are bad *** ...

got 'em for $3k shipped on eBay which is a steal...here's the funny thing, the guy tried to sell me TPMS sensors but i figured i'd just transfer them off my sport rays...when i got the nismo rays, they already had the tpms sensors in them! so i saved even more money than i thought (not having to buy new tpms or have to unmount, remount, rebalance to transfer my tpms)

i then sold the sport rays on ebay and the auction just finished yesterday...got more for them than i originally expected too...win/win situation for me

2010 19" OEM NISSAN 370Z SPORT RAYS FORGED WHEELS TIRES : eBay Motors (item 140389291137 end time Mar-14-10 19:52:35 PDT)

Zaggeron 03-15-2010 03:30 PM

Damn ... someone got a steal on your tires and rims ...2k sheesh You probably could have gotten closer to 2.5k easily for them. It's close to $1200 just for the OEM tires

Rasengan 03-15-2010 04:15 PM

maybe a few months ago but there's a lot of them selling for $1600-$1800 now...i've even seen some go as low as $1200...i think $2K is close to the best price you can still sell them for right now judging from the completed items sold on eBay - there was only 1 other one that sold for a few dollars more

Zaggeron 03-15-2010 04:26 PM

must be a bunch of people changing out their rims for aftermarket ones

Hi-Step'n370Z 03-15-2010 06:18 PM

try cleaning the rubber seals/gaskets that the window presses against. they might be sticking a little. mine drops the second I pull on the handle. both sides work the same way on mine.

Sscottfitz 03-15-2010 06:43 PM

Ditto on the door/open - window drop -- normal ops. Just another thing that makes us Roadster owners "special":driving:

Jayylne 03-17-2010 02:20 AM

have had my roadster one day and the driver side door stuck today. had to open from the inside on the passenger side. :-(
