Cloth Top Protectant?

I want to apply a protectant before the top gets really dirty. What do you use?

I asked the same thing when I purchased mine and the salesman successfully never answered that question for me. I'm going down to ZdayZ in May, maybe someone down there will have a good response.

It may be that the challenge is finding something that will protect and still be flexible enough to handle the folding of the top... That is a supposition on my part, not a known fact....

The manual said it should be fine the way it is. They also said it's not necessary to wash the top every time you wash the car. Dunno...

They come from the factory heavily protected. Notice how the water beads when you hose it off. All you should need to do for the first couple of years is simply hose it off.

Thanks Steve -- had never been to that site before -- looks like another great resource.

Zaggeron -- you are probably right -- of course I've not had the occasion to wash mine yet -- although that will change this week before I throw her back under the cover for the next couple of weeks while I'm away.

The consensus at Autopia more or less seems to be Raggtop or 303 cleaner (name brands) and Raggtop protectant
