Do you regret buying the car, or getting the soft top vert?

Also what was your previous car?

This is my very first vert. It is very loud inside the cabin compared to my other cars, probably moreso bc I'm coming from a Lexus which is virtually silent of exterior noises. I keep trying to shut the windows or make sure that the top is really closed because it sounds like one of the rear windows is open by a crack (only there aren't rear windows!). It'll take me time to get used to the noise but I do not regret the purchase one bit. Since I've gotten it, I've stood outside everyday just to look at it. The last time I've "loved" a car? My '06 350Z coupe which I sold when I decided to move to the city...

Quite bluntly, this is a sports car... it's going to be loud.

Apparently you guys didn't see how the vert is almost as quiet as the coupe!

I think the car rags should start doing decibel readings in the cab. Sound (to the ear) is so subjective.

This car is not as loud as my MX-5 was. It's very similar to my MZ3 in road and engine sound levels. I'm very pleased with that.

I've never really driven a quiet car, so maybe I'm a bad judge. One saving grace -- the stereo is more than adequate to drown it all out. Neither the MX-5 nor the MZ3 had that going for it.

Actually the roadster with the top up is quieter than the couple due to the bulkhead between the cockpit and the rear of the vehicle. But who drives with the top up?

I have some rattle behind me on the rear drivers side with the top up.

Any one else notice a rattle with the top up ? It appears to only come from one location in my car. I have never owned a convertible before, so I figured this might just be par.

WHY IS YOUR TOP UP
You hear nothing with the top down except the wind, which is why you bought the convert. right ??

This is your first vert?? What did you expect from having a soft top over a hardened and insulated hard roof! Try driving my jeep wrangler with the soft top on, you will never b*tch about the z again.

Just turn up the BOSE!

IMO, it is pretty quiet as compared to the Maxima we just traded for it.
