Hi, I tried searching for this but no joy. When you need to use the spare where do you put the normal wheel. I had a flat and couldn’t get

When you need to use the spare where do you put the normal wheel. I had a flat and couldn’t get the normal wheel into the boot/trunk space. Luckily I didn’t have a passenger so I used some carpet and put it on the seat. I have standard wheels and tire sizes. It can’t be right it doesn’t fit in the boot/trunk?? What am I missing? Thanks
