Default Front of the top pops back open automatically ?

Brought my Z to a few shops now ("pro's" & Nissan master techs).

Now that the open/close button has power again my top will open (I have the use the tool to unlatch it from the windshield manually) the top will open all the way and BEEP once done.

However, when I press the button to close the top, it closes all the way, locks in the back, but it does not beep. It sounds like it locks to the windshield, but the second that I let go of the button the top unlocks (just in the front) and pops back up immediately. I then will have to shut off the car and use the tool to close/lock it to the windshield frame.

All of the shops that I've brought it too are at a loss. Even the Nissan scan tool/laptop states ZERO codes

*If you have an idea on how to reattach the defrost wire to the rear window that would also be great too!

Thank you in advance ...

happened to mine 3-4 years ago, most likely it's the sensor under the top-cover is faulty thus the ECU doesn't know the process is done.

regarding the defroster wire, there's one on each side, you can just plug it, and secure it with electric-wire tape. make sure there's nothing pulling the wire though.

I'm surprised you don't get a code for the defrost being disconnected! I did and had to re-solder the wire. What is the tool you are talking about?
