Thanks, Gene. I hear ya about the age thing. I traded a few emails with Klaus from Top Hydraulics and he told me about the wire thing. I haven't gotten around to it yet but he assures me my problem is messed up wires. Good to know about the resistance problem. I plan to reinforce my splices with a couple of layers of shrink tube.
