Good point--storage.
I see this has not yet been brought up.

I have seen some nifty pulley systems that raise and store the roof on
the garage ceiling.
Got to think this would not be practical for many.
Since I've owned a few cars with removable hardtops,I'll offer some input.
First,to install or take off a roof is a 2 person job.Depending on the weight,
could be easy or a bit harder. On the storage topic,my Alfa Spyder had the best
system. It came with a aluminum rack of sorts that stored the roof vertically.It was on casters.Had a nice cover that protected the roof.
Did not take up much room at all. Just slide it next to a wall.
Very nice design. However,has to be a substantial cost in this type of
unit. Not sure if any roof companies offer these.
Seems to be custom made.
