New Roadster Owner
Gentlemen,
Picked up a 2016 Touring Sport Roadster 6spd today. She was a demonstrator with 11 000 km (6900 mi) in blue with the dove grey seats. I have to say that I'm impressed. I've always been a Z car fan and have owned a 71 240z, an 84 300zx, and presently a 90 300zx NA 5spd, which will soon become someone else's. I looked at the Honda S2000 (too much like my 90 z in age), the Z4 (can't get past the styling), and the new 2016 Miata (loved the car, but I don't fit). And I couldn't get past the snob factor to even consider the Boxster. The Nissan has the most complicated/troublesome top, but the room inside and the amenities did the job. I'm sure the day will come when I'll have to dig into correcting a top issue or replacing the material, but hopefully that will be some time down the road, and even then I'll tackle it myself. |

Gentlemen,
I have a gentleman traveling 3 hours tomorrow to inspect and possibly purchase my 1990 300ZX, a black beauty 5 spd GLL T Top with 81 000 km (50 000 mi). He sounds as excited as I was when I took delivery of my 2016 Roadster. He claims he won't be able to get any sleep tonight. I'm sure a great many of us have been in the same boat. I have to admit, the new Roadster is just about the most awe inspiring vehicle I've ever owned, and I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to own many exciting cars over the years, Corvettes, various Z cars, and even a fully restored 1955 Thunderbird that I sold at auction Labour Day weekend. And still, none of them comes close to the way this Roadster lights my day! It'll live a pampered life. It'll never have its tires lit up to see how fast it'll take to get to 100 mph. Those days are gone. Now its time to sip that single malt scotch, roll it around your tongue, and appreciate something that many others can only dream about. I know because I've dreamed about this car since I saw the first pictures of it in 2010. Tomorrow I'll try to get some pictures taken and post one or two. She is a pretty bit**! Gene |

Gentlemen,
The 1990 300ZX has been sold! The new owner picks it up Saturday morning, and its a present for his wife. He's going to be a hero around that home! As suggested, here's a pic of my new ride. Gene |

Welcome!!!
I had a mildly modded 12 - that I sold due to a commute on the 405 everyday. Now I have moved to Dallas and my dd is a '16 S6. I have the bug again for a ZR. Looking for a 14 or 15 with low miles so I don't take the huge hit I did after trading it in after only 9 months. LOL. Been going back and forth between this and regular Z...my top was replaced as it tore the first time I put it down. No issues after that. But...I just love the look and open air. It will be a 3rd car...so I do't expect any issues with it other than possibly the top. Here is mine that I sold... Last edited by ParkStr8; 12-30-2016 at 08:12 PM. |
