2011/2300 miles Never an issue with my top. Wonder how many '11 Roadsters are actually out there. I was told the Tsunami had wiped out part of the production. Not sure how true, but that's what two different dealers had told me.

'11 roadster...

they replaced the top once because of the hole, that was within the 2nd year when they still have the comprehensive warranty.

another hole last year, on the driver side and passenger side also shows sign of "thinning"..

dealer doesn't want to do anything even I've purchased the extended warranty...

anyway, patched those area on both sides, nothing happen since...

last summer the sensor that is under the top-lid gave up, costed CAD$1400 all together.

otherwise, it's been good. :icon17:

Extended will cover motors and frame, just not ragtop, was holes caused by something wrong with frame of top?

The dealer tech looked at my vehicle again and placed the order for a new top assembly. Just waiting for Nissan Corporate to "approve" or provide an alternative fix. Will keep everyone posted with the results.

The sensor wasn't replaced under the extended warranty?

basically NOTHING related to the top is covered under the extended warranty... :ugh2:

I don't know about U.S., but at least that's what happen in Canada.. :ugh2::ugh2:

Nissan USA just approved the full replacement of the entire assembly (top/frame/motors/sensors/etc). Going to take a few weeks for the parts to come in but I am very happy with the dealership for staying on top of this and eventually finding a solution with corporate.

:tup::tup: Outstanding!

Had mine in the shop 3 times for top issues and replaced completely twice. Best advise hands down is cut your loses when you get the new top, trade it in and get a coupe... Or heck get whatever you want at that point. You don't wana deal with top issues outside 3years 36k it's very expensive.

Drive the roadster like it's meant to be. Top up and down constantly for me unless it was raining. If it was cold I had heated seats. If it was hot it was drive faster and AC heats. Put it through the trials and see if anything happens this way it's covered now and not after warranty is up.

Bad Top

2010 with 60,000. Have top down 95+% of the time. Top ripped by each door last year, just like in the bulletin. They wouldn't touch it because it was out of warranty. Now it won't close/open properly. Dealer tells me $7,000 to replace hydraulics; but they fear the top will tear more when they put it back on. So, they say $16,000 for new top.

Good point... I see what you mean...

I am at 12.000 K on my 2014 Roadster.

A retaining clip on the drivers side came loose and worked its way through the rubber, scratching the tint on the window off.

Dealer replaced clip, replaced rubber and replaced tint.

No further problems - I am happy and topless as often as possible.

That's what I do, If it's not raining the top is down. I want it to break before 3 yrs. old if it is going to.
