Did you check the trunk area under the floor? I will try and look tomorrow at the dealership and see if I can find out exactly where it is located. Maybe John or someone here that has a roadster can chime in.

370Z Roadster spare tire accessory kit
I found a spare tire accessory kit from Nissan for the roadster. It includes a new replacement tray and cover, tire jack and tools and fits in the well of the trunk replacing the repair kit. It apparently sells for $400-$450. I also found the instruction sheet for the kit but it's too big to attach.
The part# is: 999W5ZW000 370Z CONV. SPAR |
Whats the website info ?? I was thinking that the spare tire option from nissan was not that much, but I can't remember for sure..Does the tire kit you found include the actual wheel and tire ?? Yiou typed tire jack and tools, wasnt sure if you meant..tire, jack and tools or just a tire jack :)
Thanks |
Try this link below for the instruction manual pdf. The parts list on the front page illustrates a wheel with no tire but all the photos in the sheet show the complete temp spare (both tire and wheel) so I'm sure the illustration is wrong. Otherwise it shows you everything that is included in the kit.
I think I will end up buying the kit when my roadster is delivered as long as the spare and tools fit completely in the well and I don't lose any trunk space. Knowledgebase - Nissanhelp.com |
One more note... After reading this spare tire kit sheet more closely it may be that you have to purchase the temp tire separately and have it mounted on the wheel. It's not very clear if it really is included. Also, there is not a specific mention of a tire iron either but the photos show one.

Just ordered spare tire kit for the 370Z Roadster
The kit includes the spare wheel, spare wheel clamp down assembly, tool storage tray, inner trim panel, jack, jack rod, spare tire cover, a valve stem, "this is a spare tire" caution label, tire placard label, (shows inflation pressure- 60 psi, and tire size- 145/70/18.
HOWEVER! you have to buy the actual tire and have it mounted and balanced. The dealer is charging me $460.00 for the kit, and not sure how much for the tire, but is going to try to find one locally and doesn't expect it to cost too much, but whatever it is, it is. So. The wheel locks are on, and spare tire looks like a done deal. Now all I need to do is to DRIVE THE CAR!! LOL. |

Damn for $460 + tire and mounting I can easily get triple AAA for a good number of years or just pay for a tow on the off chance I get a flat ....
Given that I'm not buying a spare, someone should come up with a roadster trunk kit that replaces that big block of foam shaped like a wheel in my trunk that provides me with some extra usable space. |
Hi Guys,
I picked up my roadster here in Canada a few weeks ago and it came with a spare. I don't know if it is the law up here, or if the dealer just orders it with the car. When I looked at the window sticker, there is no mention of a spare. I guess maybe for us here in Canada it comes standard, so my post here maybe will help others in Canada when it comes to this question. From the posts here in the forum I expected not to find a tire, but was pleasantly surprised when I did. |
How much did you pay for your roadster? And how long did it take you to order your roadster?
|
It's not about weight or cost savings. What you guys are missing is that the reason there is no spare in the Roadster is that there is no way to carry the wheel you'd remove if you were to change tires. The cargo opening for the trunk is not big enough and putting it in the front seat is just not an option. So, what would you do? leave a $500+ wheel on the side of the road and come back for it?
|
If I recall correctly the manual states the removed wheel goes behind the passenger seat with the top down. I guess you'd have to move the seat all the way forward.
