Anyone have any real figures for pricing in Canada? You know MT, AT, sport package, touring, etc.

Nissan promised the starting MSRP to be below $40k, so I'm guessing $39k-ish for the base model, seeing as the U.S. model starts at $29k. Sports package will probably be around $5-6k and the optional 7AT $1.7k. A navigation package is almost always around the $2k mark, so you can expect to pay around MSRP $50k tax-in for the fully equipped base roadster.

thanks alexus, what boggles my mind tho is that my bro called his local dealer yesterday and they said it starts at 50 lmao.. in these times good luck to them selling a "value-oriented" sports car for 60K fully loaded.

Nissan will have lost me as a costumer if I can't get it fully loaded at under $50k. If they do not live up to their below-$40k base MSRP promise then I will be shopping at other venues because at that price I may end up just putting at $45k down payment on a Lexus IS-F or Mercedes C63 AMG.

Dude, i hope you are right. I bought a 2003 350Z in Feb 03 from a dealership and paid about $49K Cdn for a touring model then (without sport or navi options). This time around I plan on a fully loaded model, so if it is under $50K before tax I will be happy.

what i don't understand is that isn't it supposed to be "affordable"? even with the canadian dollar being worth less, the Z's value still doesn't balance out. If the car does indeed start anywhere above 45.. with options and tax it'll be around 60.. good luck getting my money nissan. just like alexus i'll take my money to bmw and buy a new 335i!.. or a used M3.. or a C350... or an IS350..etc. I mean it's a Nissan, I don't know why they want luxury price for it..

supposedly from 39995$ for the base wich is touring...only option is sport and navi; sadly no base light car in canada...same mistake they did in 2003 ...will they ever learn that they could have a bigger part of the market by marketing lesser equipped models?
