sounds like you had the advantage of actually seeing the z before you left...

i ordered mine in feb and took delivery end of june...

i didnt even know they existed till i saw it on a advertisement on msn homepage in jan i think it was...

when you headed back?

Lou, have you heard anything about any model changes for 2010? Or bug fixes? You know, like the Mystery Whining Noise, lack of oil cooler, NVH stuff, etc etc etc

I know Canary Yellow was replaced by another color.............

No kidding? I'd hate to leave the Z all by itself for a year! You got someone who is going to take car of it for you? I had a 300zx at one point. While I was gone for training for a few months, I let my room mate drive it once a week. Mother fucker ran her into a ditch.

Im a contractor out here doing satcom work. Still waiting for a reply. Think I might get ****** on my trade in...did the intelliprice joint on the Nissan page and they claim 16k-20k for a perfect '06 Evo MR...Might have to reconsider...

My rep just advised me of the VIN number and stated it is on the ship right now to Los Angeles. I ran the VIN but showing up no record as of now.

Dealer emailed me and said the car should be here the first or second week in December. Let's hope this is true.

For what it's worth I asked the internet manager at local dealer who had no stock (that way he wouldn't have to lie to encourage me to buy an '09) when he would be getting an alotment of 2010's. He said he may have the car I wanted first week of Dec. YMMV.

dealer told me he is slated for december ETA but Nissan is always behind and expects "true" ETA in january instead...

It seems that the ones that want to sell you an 09 will tell you the 370 comes out in January, but those who want to sell a 2010 will tell you December

Any dealer can track a car at any time in it's manufacturing thru delivery. If a car has left port in Japan, your dealer can show you it's progress. When it is offloaded in port in the US, same deal. Ask him to show you the car onscreen, using the VIN to track it. You can even see when the build begins inside the factory.

It's good and bad. They may refuse to show it to you. If everyone who bought a car descended on them at once...well you get the idea. Ask nicely.

Normally, I don't really care about the exact date of delivery. However, i plan to schedule for the clearbra installation and I just want to take it straight to the shop after pickup.

My deal is $500 over 2010 invoice which is rumored to be around a $300-500 increase over 2009 prices.

Nissan's press release says Spring of 2010 and I haven't seen anything more specific. Hope that's helpful.

Nope. I'm set relative to a fixed invoice price.

Meaning, if the price goes up, I'm guaranteed the $$ written on the order.

If it goes down, I can argue for the new invoice price.

Spoke to my guy today here in Toronto.
He said my order has been placed and that it is oficially $200.00 more than 2009 price...now waiting for delivery of 2010 PW w/Sport. No persimmon interior available in Canada on PW again in 2010.
