2012 Z negotiable price?
Hey all,
I'm looking to buy my first Z and have come across a 2012 base model with 2,900 miles in solid red with black interior. My question is about pricing, the ad online says price negotiable, so what should I start out at? This is a dealer btw. Basically what I'm looking for is what is lowest possible price you think I can squeeze? Also maybe how to get down to that price, negotiating skills aren't that sharp but for a Z I'll definitely try to polish them up lolv. Thanks in advance! |

You should keep looking for one with the sports package. The base is a waste.

I myself have a base and was lucky enough to find a 2012 7AT, backup cam, and some extra goodies with 19k miles at a rough cost of $28k (this was about 9 months ago before the new Z came out and im in the Chicago area) What kind of price are they offering, and try to compare it to other Z's in your area |

Yeah, the touring package with the Bose and other goodies can be skipped. A base+sport is really the sweet spot for bang for your buck.

I plan on upgrading the head unit pretty soon and the speakers a little farther down the road. There was no price listed on the internet ad but I emailed the dealer so I expect to hear from them sometime tomorrow. I was trying to see what the average price of a 2012 base would be and some of the better deals anyone has gotten.
LOL well I've never been married so I wouldn't know the pain and suffering that realizing my bride has a manual transmission but what makes the sport package a must more specifically? |

Better wheels, tires, brakes, spoiler and SRM. Also the base comes with an open diff and the sport gets you a VLSD. It's not perfect, but there's no excuse for an open diff in a sports car.
Sure, you could buy a base and install everything but the SRM, but it would cost much more.

Just the car alone people paid 27700 for it which was the lowest. But average was 29500. So you can haggle if you know how or use truecar.com for a locked in price.

He'd be better off with a year old used base+sport if he really wants the best value.
