is the Touring package worth it?

What were you using to price that up? I was using truecar.com for a 2013 model with about 30k miles on it. But I just ran it again, and it looks like truecar is adding almost $1200 for the nav system. So I guess I just need to find this car one day:

nada guides. it's what my father and I use when we flip cars.

or just give me year and milage you forsee yourself gettign and i can run it all. also run it vs prices they are going for at delaer auctions as well.

Sport pack is a must, Touring imho is OVER priced.

I'm looking for a 2011+ with <30k miles. After talking with you guys, I think I'd like to snag a touring package if I'm paying less than $2000 extra because I have a feeling that an aftermarket head unit will hurt resale value and running the receiver for the XM is probably going to be a pain in the arse.

NADA is what the car is worth as is in the listed conditions. we use it when buying cars to get the best price for profit reasons lol

2009-2012 with the original bumper is the way to go. i personally hate the 2013+ bumper. it's a remake of the 350 bumper which i also hated. no performance changes have been made on the Z since 2009.

i dont know your color preferences or whatever but here's a good find. 2012 - 5500 miles with you specs $27,950

on a dealer lot it could pull up to maybe just over 30k. personally i would try and get it for 25,500-26,500 for profit purposes. its a private seller so that should be easy to accomplish.

Yeah, I like that one. It is within my acceptable color selections. Personally I'm a red sports car type of guy (see below) but the woman actually prefers the gunmetal gray. But I'd rather wait a month or two than fly out to CA and drive it back.

Keep in mind that the Bose system really paints you into a corner for upgrading the speakers later, especially if you end up with the nav.

Yeah, I thought the same thing about the 2013... that it looked just like the 350 bumper. It doesn't look bad to me, but I really liked the facelift on the 370 when it came out in 2009. Not sure why they went backwards.

You should check out truecar. It seems to be very similar to nada, but with more detail for the options.

just showing you deals like that are out there but take time. trust me to find my color and options wasn't fun nor easy.

You are more dedicated than I am if you drove 1300 miles for yours! I'd do that for an MR2, but I'm not sure how long I'm going to keep this one. If a mid-engine car gets released in the next few years, I'm going to jump on it. Also, if we change our minds about kids then the wife will petition for me to get a 4 door

I got mine with all options minus the navigation. It was pointless in my 350Z and I found it pointless in the 370Z.

An upgrade in the stereo department greatly makes up for it with a navigation system that shows real time traffic.

I didn't realize the nav was not automatically included with the touring. I think it has been on all the touring models I've looked at online. Like you, I'm not interested in the nav system, but I'm sure they'll want to bump the price up for that feature.

Ah, thanks for correcting me. I didn't really go crazy looking at all the different possible configurations since I was buying in the used market and there wasn't a wealth of them out there at the time. I just found one that was priced well and had a bunch of **** I liked on it and it happened to be a touring sport.

For me, the only benefit to a touring package would be the leather seats. As OP mentioned, sport package is mandatory. I don't really care for the bose system or navigation that comes stock.

i guess i'm lucky. fiance' is a car person and even if/when kids come into play the Z or whatever sports car i have stays
