Hmm. Sport package. Hard to decide between base and toruing. I'll have to see if the navi adds an extra functionality. I generally like relatively no-frills sports cars. I added nav to the 1er for the functionality of TRUE iPod integration, and because I did euro delivery. It's useful, but it will depend on pricing, and what entertainment features are available without.

Sports Package seems to be the only mandatory...

...I'll get whatever up to $32-$35k has to offer.

By looking at this image, this is the price i'm coming up with

http://www.the370z.com/members/ak370...icing-info.jpg

Base Model : $31600-31800 USD

Sports Model: $34,844 USD

Loaded Sports Touring model: $38,757 USD

The problem is we don't know how old those documents are.

I would be too concerned about asking price , new car sales world wide are slow , especially specialized sports cars like the 370 Z with the economic crisis getting worse by the week there will be plenty of great deals to be had .

Car Manufacturers / Dealers will be bending over big time to make sales :rofl2::bowrofl:

Cash is king :tiphat:

Cheers
Michael

Just give me a Borla exhaust and a cold-air intake, and I'll be fine. :driving:

Very true. I just saw that BMW group sales was down 63%! Right now this is def buyers market. I think someone showed me a link the other day where they were selling a brand new base 350Z for only 24K. BUT, things are suppose to be changing soon. We may see a gradual change to a better economy.

I hope it'll be buyer market when I get my Z.

They are not making the body parts or exhaust parts yet but for the engine, I can say "yes". This 3.7L VQ has been used in the G37 and I believe FORGED Motorsports already made a Twin Turbo for this engine. It's true the engine in the Z will be a little tweaked up than the G37 but they at least have something to work with. Here are the pics

I'm liking the idea of a twin screw charger.

dutty370Z 11-10-2008 02:53 PM

I wouldn't pay over $35k (configured) for it. If its anywhere near $35k I might as well add a couple thousand and get a g37.

G37 a little on the heavier side. Nissan Corp always made the Z lighter and more agile that the G37. If you need back seat, G37 is def THE car to get but other than that, Z will always out run the G.

I think you can def get a Z below 35K. It IS a buyer market right now.

jaesung83 11-11-2008 12:06 AM

when the car comes out n' if no one makes a twin turbo kit for this car... you think you can put in the g37 twin turbo kit on this 370z? cuz itz the same engine?? rite??

cstr_Cali 11-11-2008 07:59 PM

$33k tops before T+L.

I want to get the 6MT Sports Trim + Touring Trim.
But is that the best trim?
And hopefully I'll be paying under 38,000

I wonder about that myself. It seems that Nissan went to great lengths to reduce weight (good) and increase power (also good) and return the focus of the Z to its 240z predecessor. That is exactly what I want. I'm lucky enough to be at a point in my life where my next car will be a 'third' car, a car that I will only drive when I want to, not when I have to. I can't wait. The thing about the Touring Trim will be whether or not the accessories in the package add a significant amount of weight and chip away at what Nissan has supposedly set out for us. I think the Sport Trim makes good sense for the brakes and wheels and I would probably be interested in that. So it's 6MT for me, with Sports Trim and try to get out the door around 35K max. At that price, you have a M Coupe fighter for around 18-20K less. 'Nuff said. ;)
