Dealer Processing / Documentation / Service Fee?
So I'm trying to figure out all these costs that the dealer is charging me. When I went in, they wanted $32,500 for the car not including TTL and the documentation/service fee. The fee for TTL is about $450 while the dealer/service fee is $599. From what I've seen, the price for this fee seems a little outrageous since it would cover a majority of the work needed and more.
I already told them I wouldn't pay $32.5 for the car because it's not even the listed invoice (base w/ sports 6spd). So I told them $34k -$34.5k OTD is my offer (taxes would have been about $2000) and they rejected my offer and I told them have a nice day. Anyway to negotiate the $599 dealer/service fee? I think it's a little bit outrageous... |

Work it into the selling price. Tell them you will pay it but it needs to be negotiated out of the selling price so you don't really pay for it. But they are negotiable. You just need to work them harder. Most dealers don't give this fee up. Good Luck.
