you should be able to negotiate a 09 for invoice or lower...

you shoulld be able to negotiate a 2010 for about 500 over invoice...

at first you'll probably have to pay the MSRP because I can imagine a lot of people holding out for the 2010's and willing to pay more to have it early.

about a month or two later, the 500 over invoice should be feasable. and then of course a couple months after that, back down to invoice.

its all in supply and demand, and there will be more demand than supply at first, a few months later not so much.

If you take depreciation in to consideration It would be wiser
to get the '10. I have an '08 and after 1 year it has lost $10 grand in resale value.

It makes more sense to have a Full year of fun before losing such a large amount of Cash

True, but depreciation only really matters if you intend to sell. My S2000 is 10 years old, and if it wasn't for me getting rid of it because there would be no point in having two convertibles (awaiting the roadster) I would hang on to it even longer.

Dan,
Who knows what is going to happen. It really depends on your market. You may be in an area that doesn't discount, or the opposite. But it all comes down to negotiation skills. If you know what you want and you know invoice, just work them until you feel comfortable.

I do know there are still some 2009's that are dropping in Oct. So I am not sure if the coupes will be out then or maybe later, at this stage in the game it's a guessing game.

I should also add that your yearly excise tax would be lower on that 2008 compared to the 2010...
